Wrongr ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Think Latitude. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Wrongr mobile application (the "App"). Please read it carefully.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

Email address (used for authentication)
Display name (optional)
Profile information provided during sign-up

1.2 User-Generated Content (UGC)

Situation descriptions you submit for verdicts
Community votes and interactions
Reports and flagged content

1.3 Device & Technical Information

Device type, operating system, and version
Unique device identifiers
IP address
App usage analytics and crash reports

1.4 Advertising Identifiers

IDFA (iOS) and Advertising ID (Android) — collected only with your consent where required (e.g., iOS App Tracking Transparency)
Used for personalized advertising through Google AdMob

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide the Service: Process your situations, generate AI verdicts, display community votes
Content Moderation: Review submissions for safety and policy compliance
AI Processing: Send situation text to OpenAI's API for verdict generation and content moderation (see Section 3)
Subscriptions: Manage premium subscriptions via RevenueCat
Advertising: Serve ads through Google AdMob to free-tier users
Analytics: Understand usage patterns and improve the App
Safety: Detect abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect users

3. AI Processing Disclosure

Your situation text is processed by OpenAI. When you submit a situation or when content is moderated, the text is sent to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o-mini) to generate AI verdicts and perform content moderation. OpenAI processes this data under their API data usage policy. We do not send your name, email, or account identifiers to OpenAI — only the situation text and category.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase for authentication, database (Firestore), cloud functions, and analytics. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy

4.2 RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your anonymized user ID and purchase data. See: revenuecat.com/privacy

4.3 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to deliver personalized or contextual ads. On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before collecting the IDFA for personalized ads. See: Google Ads Privacy

4.4 OpenAI

Situation text is sent to OpenAI's API for AI verdict generation and content moderation. See: openai.com/privacy

5. Data Retention

Account data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
Situations & Verdicts: Retained while posted; anonymized data may be retained for aggregate analytics
Device/Analytics data: Retained for up to 26 months per Google Analytics defaults
Advertising data: Governed by Google AdMob retention policies

6. Your Rights & Choices

6.1 Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at thinklatitude@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6.2 Access & Portability

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us.

6.3 Opt-Out of Personalized Ads

iOS: Deny tracking via the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or go to Settings → Privacy → Tracking
Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

7. GDPR (European Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data
Right to restrict or object to processing
Right to data portability
Right to withdraw consent at any time
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Our legal bases for processing are: consent (advertising identifiers), contract performance (providing the service), and legitimate interests (security, analytics).

8. CCPA (California Users)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used
Right to delete personal information
Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information
Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights

We do not sell your personal information. Advertising data shared with AdMob may constitute a "sale" under CCPA; you can opt out via your device's advertising settings.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Wrongr is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 17, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 17 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at thinklatitude@gmail.com.

10. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), Firebase security rules, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App or sending a notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
